About Us
OMS was created in 2010 by Pete Notaro
Pete’s career path started in a small machine shop in 1986. There, he worked closely under a Tool and Die Maker for 14 years, becoming a seasoned lathe and mill machinist while completing his Tool & Die Apprenticeship. Pete also attended Penn State University and received his Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994
In 1999, Pete joined the software developers for PartMaker CAD/CAM software. Pete took on many duties during his four year employment, which included customer support, software training, and adviser to software development, but his greatest contribution to the company was to help write post processors for some of the most complex multi-axis cnc machinery used in the industry today.
In 2003, Pete took on the role of a Swiss Cell supervisor at a state-of-the-art cnc machining facility, but soon took on many other responsibilities such as machine setup, programming, purchasing, and scheduling.
In 2005, Pete moved into medical device manufacturing and worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a large cnc swiss department. There, he honed his skills in process development, job optimization, and complex part programming.
In 2010, Pete went out in his own and created OMS, which provided services for cnc programming, training, and turn-key projects for local contract manufacturers. After only two years, OMS had completed numerous projects that successfully fulfilled customers needs in either targeted cost reductions or technical training programs conducted by OMS.
In 2012, the first cnc swiss machine was installed at OMS and the company shifted its focus on cnc swiss contract manufacturing. Today, OMS takes pride in maintaining successful working relationships with the same customers that were supported through its training services. The combination of providing quality parts at competitive prices and quick turnaround times, contributes to our repeat customer orders.
OMS welcomes you to submit part prints for quotation. Whether its prototype/short run work or medium to high production quantities, we are more than happy to provide assistance for your next project.
